    The role of reverse engineering and method implementation

    Reverse engineering is widely used in new product development and product modification design, product imitation, quality analysis testing and other fields, its role is:
    1, shorten the product design and development cycle, speed up the upgrading of products;
    2, reduce the cost and risk of developing new products;
    3, speed up product modeling and series of design;
    4, suitable for single parts, small quantities of parts manufacturing, especially mold manufacturing, can be divided into direct and indirect mold making method. Direct mold method: RP-based rapid direct mold method is the result of the mold CAD directly from the RP system to create shape. The method does not require the RP system for sample preparation, nor does it rely on the traditional mold manufacturing process, which is particularly rapid for the manufacture of metal molds. It is a very promising method of modeling; the indirect mold method: indirect mold Law is the use of RP technology to create prototype parts of the product, the prototype as a master mold, mold core or tooling (grinding mold), and then combined with the traditional molding process to create the required mold.
    There are a variety of software reverse engineering methods, there are three main:
    1. Analyze the observations made through the exchange of information.

After accessing a computer bus or network connection and successfully intercepting communication data, the bus or network behavior can be analyzed to create a communication implementation with the same behavior. This method is particularly suitable for reverse engineering of device drivers. At times, tools that are purposely made by hardware manufacturers, such as JTAG ports or various debugging tools, can also help reverse engineering an embedded system. For Microsoft's Windows system, the popular low-level debugger has SoftICE.
    2.Disassemble, using disassemblers, to translate the original machine code of the program into assembly code that is easier to read and understand. This applies to any computer program and is especially useful for people who are not familiar with machine code. Popular related tools are OllyDebug and IDA.
    3. Decompilation, that is, using the decompiler, try to reproduce the high-level language source code from the program's machine code or bytecode.
